From the cottages that were transported down the lake in the ’50s, to the lodging constructed by hippies in the ’70s, every building at the Lodge is eclectic and has a story. Because of our unique construction history we have a wide range of rooms to accommodate a variety of budgets and needs.

True to our ethos, our accommodation is simple but comfortable. Our hotel-style rooms and fully contained cottages are great for both small and large groups, whether it’s a family reunion or a romantic weekend away. Our location on Upper Campbell Lake means that most of our accommodation provides lake views or deck access, and the beach is always just a short walk away.

As an outdoor education centre first and foremost, we are passionate about environmental stewardship. Our Lodge is run entirely off grid, which means there are no TVs, telephones, microwaves or refrigerators within the rooms. Refer to our Amenities page to find out more.


Our hotel-style rooms are located in several separate buildings spaced around our property. Rooms provide lake or forrest views, deck access, and comfortable bedding. All rooms are non-smoking, and are available from March until November while our dining room is open.


We have various sizes of cottages which are available year round. Our cottages are equipped with kitchen facilities, and are positioned along our waterfront. Cozy living spaces and generous decks make our cottages perfect for hosting gatherings. During our off season, between November and March, cottages can be booked by phone.

We also have a chalet at Mount Washington Alpine Resort that sleeps up to 24 people in two units.

Arrivals and Departures

Drive under the impressive log gate, and you will find yourself at Strathcona’s Headquarters. Our office building acts as the hub for all activities, accommodations, and services. The lobby provides a small store with essentials, an assortment of gifts and snacks, and a WiFi hotspot for guests.

Reservations and Cancellations

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on all accommodation and packages to confirm space, with the balance due on arrival. In the event of a cancellation, or if a client arrives late or leaves early for any reason there will be NO refund. All payments may be made in cash, MASTERCARD or VISA, if time permits, by cheque or money order. All rates are subject to applicable taxes. All prices shown are in Canadian funds.


Please check your medical coverage before arrival to make sure it is up to date and adequate. Participants in outdoor activities will be required to complete a medical form and sign a liability waiver.
