We are now accepting bookings for our waterfront cottages from BC residents!

Thu May 21, 2020

Dearest friends, fans and family of the lodge,

We hope you are fairing well in this time. As we settle into Phase 2 of BC’s Restart Plan, we are so happy to announce that we are now accepting booking for our waterfront cottages from BC residents. If you’re from outside of BC, we sincerely look forward to welcoming you when the time is right.

What’s special about Phase 2 at the lodge: the weather is beautiful, the lake is blue and brilliant, the beach is open, and the forests are lush from the recent rain. The evenings beg for beach fires and star gazing with your favourite people. At this time there are no groups on site and our beautiful property is all yours to enjoy. Strathcona Provincial Park has re-opened for day use and is ready to be explored. With only 13 self contained waterfront cottages (they sleep from 2-12 people) there are never more than 50 guests on site. There is also the option to add on self propelled boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards) to your stay.

What’s different about coming to the lodge now: at this time there will be no food service available, the restaurant and front office/store will remain closed, and check in will be contactless. Our cancellation policy will also change: if you are feeling unwell, you can use your deposit to reschedule your stay up until October, 2021. There will also be no guided activities. We’ll provide you with things like park maps and information, as well as maps of our on site hiking trails. At this time, we are only inviting overnight registered guests to enjoy our property.

What that means for you: call your people, pick some dates, pack up everything you will need including your groceries, beverages, sunscreen, and a pint of your favourite ice cream, and come together for a few days or longer at the lodge. Whether it’s gathering with your closest friends, another family, or your special someone, we would love to host you.

We hope you will accept our invitation to come “home” and connect with your loved ones and the outdoors in this quiet and peaceful spot in nature.

Remember to stay apart, stay safe, and stay local!

With gratitude,

Your Strathcona Park Lodge Team
